About Us
Leave ‘business as usual’ to the other guys.
Keep Calm and Get Carried Away.”

It’s a pretty good motto, isn’t it? Here at KBCO Design we’re all about big ideas and bigger inspiration…all while making it happen seamlessly.

Based in Orlando, our heart and soul (and expertise) lies in creating beautiful and functional environments in the hospitality and commercial markets. Our company was founded in 2002 by Kimberly Bewley Coombs (the ‘KB’ in KBCO) and we’ve spent the last 14+ years approaching both large and small projects with a creative, driven, detail-obsessed fervor. From big picture strategy to finishing finesses, our team offers the expertise of a large firm with the personal attention of a boutique firm (a happy medium, if you will).

To break it down:
We care deeply about doing it right.
We care deeply about intuitive, inventive design.
We care deeply about what you care about for your space.

And our incredible clients (and multiple awards) lead us to believe we’re onto something.

Some noteworthy clients we’ve had the privilege of working with:
Loews Hotels
Tishman Hotel Corporation
Steiner Leisure Group
Fields Auto Group
Universal Studios

We’d love to hear from you about your upcoming project or answer any questions you may have for us, so don’t be shy: drop us a line here.

Process makes perfect (13 years practice doesn’t hurt either).”

Kimberly Coombs
Founder
Kim is our head honcho (honcha?). As the founder of KBCO Design, she brings drive, passion, and incredible vision to the KBCO table. Kim possesses that rare ability to not only visualize a concept, but also organize, document, and produce it. You’d be hard-pressed to find someone more committed to her clients—and this shows in the long-term relationships she has with many of our clients. When she’s not trailblazing in the design world, she’s exploring the rest of the world. A foodie and extrovert, you can always count on Kim to bring a dose of entertainment wherever she goes.

Laura Frazier-Sever
Design Manager
To say Laura is integral to the KBCO Design team is a wild understatement. Laura has a love for both the creative and analytical aspects of interior design and she’s brought that excitement and expertise to our team since 2005 (not to mention a near-diabolical attention to details). If you’re ever looking for Laura, chances are she’s in Tallahassee cheering for FSU—Go Seminoles!

Lesley Gardner
Media & Account Manager
Lesley rubs shoulders with results every day. From supporting our team of interior designers, to running our accounting department, to handling the in-house graphic design needs, Lesley gets it done (and makes it look good). She’s been a part of the team since practically the beginning (2003) and in her free time she enjoys photography, being outside, martial arts, and spending time with her family.

Sahra Hadfield
Junior Designer
Sahra is our favorite Junior Designer who is just overflowing with sweet, southern charm. She recently joined us in 2014 after graduating from Eastern Kentucky University with a BFA in Interior Design and it’s hard to imagine our team without her. Sahra gives killer support to the team in every aspect of the design process and has proven herself to be a true jackie of all trades. Her hobbies include reading, being crafty and bleeding blue for the University of Kentucky basketball.
Our services

Your interior design wish is our command. Our team of designers keep projects moving—both creatively and efficiently—with your specific goals in the forefront at all times.
The ace up our sleeve is our ability to design and produce construction documentation (aka blueprints). Thanks to our interior design license, we can sign and seal these documents for submittal to the local jurisdiction for permitting.
And if your project happens to be outside of our scope, we have a hand-selected arsonal of architects, electrical, and mechanical engineers that we can bring in to make our team as robust as your project needs.
At the end of the day we just want to create beautiful and functional environments; and we’ll do anything (truly, anything) to make sure the end product is wildly successful.
