Our team of designers keep projects moving—both creatively and efficiently—with your specific goals in the forefront at all times. The ace up our sleeve is our ability to design and produce construction documentation (aka blueprints). Thanks to our interior design license, we can sign and seal these documents for submittal to the local jurisdiction for permitting.

And if your project happens to be outside of our scope, we have a hand-selected arsenal of architects, electrical, and mechanical engineers that we can bring in to make our team as robust as your project needs.

At the end of the day we just want to create beautiful and functional environments; and we’ll do anything (truly, anything) to make sure the end product is wildly successful.

Our Process

  • Programming


    This is the informational gathering phase of the project. We research, identify and analyze the needs and goals of the client, evaluate existing conditions, assess project resources and limitations, identify code requirements and develop project schedules and budgets.

  • Conceptual / Schematic Design

    Design work begins on the project. Using the research gathered during programming KBCO develops creative ideas to maximize the space and brand concept, proposing initial conceptual studies for space planning, finishes and furnishings. Through concept, the design moves toward a solution.

  • Design Development


    At this level, the design solution is agreed upon that was developed during concepting. Ideas begin to become reality through the development of construction documents.

  • Construction Documents

    KBCO provides the set of documents that form a part of the legal contract for services between two or more parties. These typically include detailed instructions to the contractor, construction documents and specifications. KBCO signs and seals drawings for submission to the city for permitting.

  • Services / Installation


    Dependent upon the scope of each project, KBCO offers purchasing and installation services for materials, finishes and furniture.
