Welcome to Versailles

Designing America’s Largest Residence

With clients like Universal Studios, Hilton and Loews Hotels, Legoland, and other world-renowned companies among KBCO Design’s client list, it’s no wonder timeshare real estate mogul David Siegel wanted to interview the firm’s founder, Kimberly Bewley Coombs, to discuss fresh ideas to complete his and wife Jackie’s massive custom Orlando, Florida home, Versailles. Quickly into the interview, Mr. Siegal concluded Kim was the designer with the vision, talent and experience to customize the myriad interior spaces of the sprawling 90k square-foot residence, the largest single-family home in America.

The project, the subject of the 2012 documentary film Queen of Versailles, found itself sidelinedafter the 2008 stock market crash and subsequent recession, and Versailles sat largely unattended for 17 years. Now the completion of Versailles is back on, and the focus of a new Discovery+ series, Queen of Versailles Reigns Again, featuring the queen herself, Jackie Siegel. Jackie has inaugurated a new design team, with Kim Coombs spearheading the mega-mansion’s interiors, which extend across three levels to include a grand ballroom, multiple kitchens, an imported English pub, a movie theater and much more, in addition to the standard living spaces. Kim and her team have extensive experience working with luxury hotels, so they are more than up to the challenge. However, Jackie wants the project completed by this coming New Year’s Eve so she can host the party of a lifetime. Is this pursuit possible or absolutely insane?

The show can now be streamed on the following networks:

The Roku Channel, HBO Max or Discovery+

The Design Team tackles the project of a lifetime.

Kim is working alongside Architect Mark Nasrallah and Builder Bob Sorenson to make the existing project that was halted in 2008 into an exquisite home for the Seigals.
