Hotel Rooftop Terraces Designed with a Purpose
In the evolving world of hospitality, space optimization is key. No more empty rooms or purposeless spaces! A recent trend we’re loving? Transforming rooftops and terraces into functional, guest-friendly spaces. From rooftop pools that make every guest feel like a VIP, to bars and event spaces offering stunning city views, and even peaceful rooftop gardens - these spaces add a unique charm and enhance the guest experience. Not only do these spaces offer something special for guests, they also contribute to customer loyalty. Who wouldn’t want to return to a hotel with such amazing features?
Rooftop Pools
This is definitely one of the most popular uses for a hotel rooftop terrace. In places such as Florida or California and any other the other states that happen to have a good amount of tourists and fairly warm weather year round, hotels are putting multiple pools around the hotel, specifically the roof! Not only does it make the guest feel like a VIP, it also is much more attractive than a pool that is ground level or even halfway up the hotel. Being placed on the roof gives the potential benefits of better sunlight, better views and a better time. Do not forget the sunscreen!
Rooftop Bar and Events
Many hotels have this feature on their rooftop terraces. It does get a bit tricky with permits and what not because safety can be a concern when alcohol and dancing are in the mix. Some of the regulations are a bit different than having a rooftop pool and that is precisely why rooftop bars and events are a hot commodity. Be honest, who would not want a wedding or corporate event on the rooftop of a hotel with all of the city views, music and beverages available in one place? It seems like a no brainer, which is why hotels are taking their time in developing this amazing amenity.
Gardens/Greenhouses
Gardens and/or greenhouses are not as common as the other uses, but you would be surprised at the amount of people that just want to find a peaceful place to relax or do work or even just have a conversation with someone. A garden is the absolute best place for all of those things. It is a place that is serene and provides a calm from all of the city noise and gives a view of the city, more than the hubbub on the ground level.
Having multiple options to jazz up the hotel and to give the customers an unforgettable experience is exactly what hotels are looking for. Thank goodness for hotels that utilize their space wisely and put together a special pool, bar or garden for their customers. It is not only a smart business plan, it turns out it is pretty fun and useful at the same time.
